Artist Nora Egger creates mostly landscapes of the Coulee region where she grew up and which has influenced so much of her work. She attempts to capture the aridness and muted pastels of the sagebrush covered region. "One of my goals is to paint outdoors more often, and paint my immediate response to the landscape and capture that on the canvas. Another one of my desires (goals) is to pass on what I have learned to others."
Her advice to the future generation of artists:
Be patient and never give up. That's at least what I tell myself. I am self taught.
Nora will be at Tsuga this Saturday as a part of our Pro-Am Paint Off where she will be joined by 4 other professional artists and 5 talented teens to create paintings in a 3 hour window. Stop by from 12-3 to see them in action!
